Career and college counseling can be life-changing, and is necessary for all students to help them understand their strengths and weaknesses, choose a well-suited career path, and interpret changing professional environments. Without a career and college counselor to guide them, students will be unaware of the vast array of opportunities that exist both locally and abroad, thus falling into a pattern of selecting courses of study and professions that are expected of them. Oftentimes, this will result in a profession they are unhappy with in their adult lives.
When you attend an IC3 Regional Forum, you receive first-hand knowledge of how families and students prepare for college. You also gain a better understanding of what it takes to operate a career and college counseling department. This makes it possible for you to share and implement this information, enabling you to perform your job more efficiently and with greater confidence. Lastly, you'll have the ability to learn, network, and build valuable relationships with school counselors and university representatives from India and around the world to collaboratively support your students' search for best-fit colleges and universities.
The IC3 Regional Forums can be attended by individuals falling in the following three categories:
- Full-time High School College and Career Counselors/Teachers & Leaders
- University Representatives
- Approved Organization Delegates
The IC3 Regional Forum is a one-day event to bring together school leaders, college counselors and teachers, university representatives and selected organizations to discuss counseling and admissions practices. A typical schedule will include:
- 4 to 5 breakout sessions
- 2 networking breaks
- Networking lunch
- Opening and closing address
- University fair (optional)
Typically at each IC3 Regional Forum, you can expect an attendance anywhere from 50 to 100 participants.

There is no deadline to register for the IC3 Regional Forums, and onsite registration is also available. However, there are many benefits to registering early, including:

Yes! Multiple individuals can represent a single high school at an IC3 Regional Forum.
Yes! You are welcome to attend multiple IC3 Regional Forums.
Independent counselors who work with high schools and will attend on behalf of and with their schools’ permission may be allowed to register for the IC3 Regional Forums, in the “Other Approved Organization Delegates" registration category.
There are no discounts for bulk orders, and the registration for the IC3 Regional Forum is valid only for the cities that you have selected. Registration to the IC3 Regional Forum will not offer free registration for the Annual IC3 Conference.
As a part of our knowledge-sharing approach, we’d like to invite representation from education-centric organizations and other industry bodies. In order to make sure that the ideologies and ethos of the organization and IC3 are a match, the IC3 Committee members review each organization delegate registration. Once the registration is approved by the committee members, participants can attend the IC3 events. The status of the registration will be communicated to the registrants within two weeks of registration.
You can submit a session proposal here. To give you an idea of the types of sessions we’re looking for, please review this year’s theme. Once all session proposals are submitted, the IC3 Content & Research Committee will review, finalize and send out updates to all that submitted. Please note, we ask that each speaker be registered for that particular IC3 Regional Forum at which they wish to present. You can register here.
High school delegates will receive an e-certificate for participating in an IC3 Regional Forum.
If you are not a citizen of the country in which the IC3 Regional Forum is held, you may need a visa to enter the country. For more information on requirements and visa types, check with that country's embassy or consulate.
For IC3 Regional Forums in India, some nationalities can apply for an e-visa. Please read about the different e-visa types/options, eligibility, requirements, and the application procedures here: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.

We advise delegates to bring numerous business cards to the IC3 Regional Forums. For the university fair (optional), you should also carry your organization/institution tablecloth/table cover, any tabletop display(s) and your brochures. A few “counselor packs” can also come handy.
Some of the IC3 Regional Forums will include a university fair, where the host school will invite students and/or parents from their school as well as other schools in the city/region. This may not be available at every IC3 Regional Forum.
In select cities, the IC3 Regional Forums Host School Committee will also facilitate visits for university representatives to two or three local high schools one day before or after the IC3 Regional Forum.
