  • American International School of Dhaka

    Dhaka, Bangladesh

    Founded in 1972, AISD was established by the U.S. State Department to serve the diplomatic communities, the United Nations and international companies in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, this also includes many non-government organizations such as the World Health Organization, CARE, UNWoman, World Vision and Save the Children. AISD strives to meet the individual needs of its students who come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and educational systems from around the world. We are an inclusive school with an open admission policy. AISD offers an American-style university preparatory program for students in pre-kindergarten to grade 12. English is the medium of instruction for the educational program which encompasses both the IB and American diploma curricula. The school provides a strong student support services program along with English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes. Approximately 30% of the student population are resident Bangladeshi nationals.

    College du Saint Esprit is a grant-aided, non-fee paying Roman Catholic school which welcomes students from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and religious backgrounds. The aim of the school is to influence progress in the developing world by educating students to secure academic success, artistic development, physical training, cultural, social and spiritual achievements. Founded in 1938, it is a boys-only high school, catering to students from grades 7 to 13. Academically, the school prepares its students for Cambridge O and A levels, with our year ending in October/November and graduation commencing in February of the following year. About 35% of our students proceed on to further studies abroad, mostly on full or partial merit- or need-based scholarships.

    A few years ago, a group of leading Nepalese educationists and entrepreneurs felt the need to establish a semi-residential school of an international standard in Nepal to meet the growing demand of high-quality, holistic education for children ages 5-19. Thus, Kathmandu World School (KWS) was established at Surya Binayak – 7, Gundu, Bhaktapur.
